Suitable for complete beginners
Join me at the beautiful RHS Garden Bridgewater for a relaxed and creative half-day workshop, where you'll learn how to weave your own 2D willow swallow wall sculpture.
Swallows are such a lovely symbol of summer, and these simple, elegant willow sculptures look beautiful displayed on a garden wall, fence or in the home. Their natural shape and texture work particularly well against a wall or other simple background.
I'll guide you step by step through the weaving process, introducing you to some of the basic techniques of working with willow. It's a perfect introduction to willow weaving and suitable for complete beginners, as well as anyone who simply fancies spending a few creative hours trying something new.
You'll leave with your own handmade willow swallow to take home and enjoy for years to come.
We'll be working in the classroom of the main award winning eco building in the wonderful surroundings of RHS Garden Bridgewater, your workshop booking also includes admission to the gardens, so why not make a day of it? Explore the gardens, enjoy the seasonal planting and perhaps treat yourself to something delicious in the café.
RHS members also receive a discounted workshop rate.
