FAQ's

Where do the workshops take place?

All of our in-person workshops are held at our studio in Todmorden:

27 Rochdale Road, Todmorden, West Yorkshire, OL14 7LA

Unless stated otherwise, all workshops will take place here.

Who teaches the workshops?

All of our workshops are taught by Joe Gregory, an experienced willow weaver. If any workshop is taught by a different instructor, we will make it clear on the event details.

What if I can’t pay for my course all at once?

You can choose to pay in full at the time of booking or opt for a deposit payment. If you choose the deposit option, you’ll need to return and pay the balance to complete your booking before the workshop date.

Can I attend an advanced workshop if I’ve never woven before?

While we welcome beginners to our workshops, we recommend attending a few beginner courses before signing up for an advanced workshop. Our advanced courses are designed for those who have some previous weaving experience and are looking for a greater challenge. If you’re new to weaving or haven’t woven in a while, we suggest starting with our Beginner Willow Weaving Workshops to build your skills first.

Note: Everyone’s learning pace is different, so it’s important to get comfortable with the basics before jumping into advanced techniques.

Do I need any prior experience to join a beginner workshop?

Not at all! Our beginner workshops are perfect for anyone who has never woven before or is looking to revisit the foundational techniques. You'll be guided step-by-step to make your first basket or weaving project.

Do you offer Gift Vouchers?

Yes, we offer gift vouchers that can be used for any of our workshops or products. These can be purchased on our website and emailed directly to the recipient.

Note: If you’d like to use a gift voucher at checkout, simply enter the code provided in the email when you go to pay.

Returns & Refunds for Kits

Because these are physical products, I cannot offer refunds unless the kit is deficient or damaged during shipping.

If your kit arrives with a missing part or is damaged, please contact me within 7 days of receiving it. I’ll arrange a replacement or refund as quickly as possible once the issue has been confirmed.

Shipping Information

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information.

Delivery times may vary, but in most cases orders arrive sooner. Please allow 7–12 days from the date of purchase for your order to be delivered.

We are not responsible for delays caused by factors outside of our control (such as courier delays, adverse weather, or strikes), but we will always do our best to ensure your order reaches you as quickly as possible.

How do I use a Gift Voucher at checkout?

When you’re ready to checkout, simply enter the gift voucher code you received into the designated gift voucher field on the checkout page. The value of the gift card will be applied to your total.

If the gift voucher doesn’t cover the full amount of your order, you can pay the balance via your preferred payment method.

Important: Gift voucher are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Do you offer refunds on Gift Vouchers?

Unfortunately, gift vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Once purchased, they can only be used for workshops or products on our website.

Do you offer repairs for furniture/chairs?

Unfortunately, we don’t offer repair services for furniture or seats at this time. Our workshops are focused solely on willow weaving, and we don’t provide repairs for woven items outside of our course materials.

How can I book a workshop?

Booking a workshop is easy! Simply head to our Learn to Weave page, choose the workshop you’d like to attend, and follow the steps to secure your spot. You'll receive an email confirmation once your booking is complete.

Can I bring my own materials to the workshop?

For most workshops, we provide all the materials you’ll need to complete your project. If you would like to bring your own materials, please check with us ahead of time to ensure they’re suitable for the class.

What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule my booking?

We understand that things can change! However, due to the small group sizes of our workshops, we have a strict cancellation policy. Here's how it works:

  • 6 Months or More in Advance: You can cancel for a full refund, minus a £25 administration fee, or transfer to another course of the same value.
  • 3 Months in Advance: You can cancel for a 50% refund or transfer to another course of equal value.
  • Less Than 28 Days: Unfortunately, cancellations within 28 days of the course start date are non-refundable, and transfers are not permitted.

If you need to reschedule, you can transfer your booking once per original reservation as long as you notify us within the allowed timeframe (see above).

For more detailed information, check out our Terms & Conditions page.

What happens if the course is canceled or rescheduled?

In the rare event that we need to cancel or reschedule a course due to illness, weather, or other factors, you’ll be notified via the email address provided during booking. You’ll have the option to either:

  • Receive a full refund, or
  • Transfer your booking to a future date.

Please note that we cannot reimburse any travel, accommodation, or other external expenses related to the cancellation.

Can I transfer my booking to a different workshop?

Yes, you can transfer your booking once per original reservation, as long as you do so at least 28 days before the course start date. Transfers are subject to availability, and you must notify us as soon as possible. Please refer to the Cancellations & Refunds policy for more details.

Can I bring my dog to the workshop?

Dogs are not typically permitted at our workshops. However, if you have a special circumstance or need to bring your dog, please contact us at least 4 weeks before the course to seek approval.

What if I have an accessibility need or allergy?

We want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable experience. Please notify us of any accessibility needs or allergies at the time of booking, so we can make any necessary arrangements.

Can I take photos during the workshop?

Yes, you can.

We may occasionally take photos or videos during workshops for marketing, social media, or our website. If you would prefer not to be photographed, please let us know at the start of your session, and we’ll respect your wishes.

What should I bring to the workshop?

For most workshops, we provide all necessary materials, but we recommend bringing:

  • Comfortable clothing (you’ll be working with natural materials, so it can get a little messy!)
  • A notebook and pen if you'd like to take notes
  • Any snacks or drinks you may need throughout the day

Do you offer online courses?

At the moment, we only offer in-person workshops at our studio. We may explore online options in the future, so be sure to stay tuned to our website for updates!
