Originally used to separate curds from whey in cheese-making, I’ve developed this course with a contemporary twist, blending classic craftsmanship with modern design ideas. Over the day, you’ll gain hands-on experience with natural materials and learn techniques that will give your basket both charm and character.
This workshop is ideal for beginners and those with some weaving experience. Come alone and meet other crafty folk, or bring a friend for a special creative day together. You’ll leave with a beautiful, functional piece and the confidence to explore Spanish basketry techniques further.
Plus, the on-site Willows Tea & Coffee Shop is open during the workshop, serving ethical, Rainforest Alliance coffee and tea, award-winning cakes, and simple savouries, the perfect way to relax between weaving sessions.
Important Notes:
Good mobility in hands and feet is required; you’ll be standing while working.
Please wear old, non-dangly clothes, covered-toe shoes (no sandals), and minimal or no jewellery.
