Join me for this immersive two-day workshop and create your own beautiful willow oval laundry basket. This course is ideal for those with some basketry experience looking to expand their skills while working on a larger, practical project.

You’ll have the option to weave an English oval base if you are confident with round basket work, or a Catalan base for a simpler but equally stunning basket. Over the two days, you’ll explore a variety of weaving techniques and work with the finest English willows, resulting in a basket designed to last for years of regular use.

This is a wonderful, immersive experience where you can take your time learning the process of weaving and leave with a practical piece you’ll be proud to use. It’s a great way to meet other craft enthusiasts, whether you come alone or with friends.

Important Notes:

• This course requires some strength and stamina; you’ll be standing while weaving.

• Please wear old, non-dangly clothes, covered-toe shoes (no sandals), and minimal jewellery.

During the workshop, The Willows Tea and Coffee House on the ground floor will be open, offering ethical coffees and teas, award-winning cakes, and a small selection of savouries to keep you refreshed.
