Come and spend a creative day with experienced willow tutor Joe Gregory, learning to weave your own characterful moongazing hare using traditional techniques and beautiful English willow.

With over 15 years of teaching experience, this is Joe’s longest-running and most popular sculpture workshop, loved by hundreds of weavers. It’s a much-loved introduction to working with willow and a wonderful opportunity to discover how a simple, natural material can be transformed into an expressive, three-dimensional sculpture. Complete beginners and those with previous willow weaving experience are equally welcome.

Joe will guide you step by step, from building the initial framework to shaping your hare’s body and bringing it to life. You’ll learn how to shape, bend and weave the willow, with plenty of individual guidance and support along the way.

All tools and materials are provided, and you’ll leave with your own handmade willow hare ready to take pride of place in your home or garden. Treat it with a simple wood preservative and it can be enjoyed outdoors for years to come.

Come on your own or bring a friend and enjoy a satisfying day of creativity, learning and making something truly special.
