Join me at the beautiful RHS Garden Bridgewater and learn how to weave your own natural willow plant support.
During this relaxed half-day workshop, I'll introduce you to some simple willow weaving techniques and guide you through making your own round willow plant obelisk or pea climber.
These beautiful, natural structures are a wonderful way to add height and interest to a border, flower bed or vegetable garden. Left as a simple willow sculpture they look lovely in their own right, but they're especially beautiful once plants begin to grow up and through them.
They're perfect for supporting sweet peas, clematis, climbing beans, roses and other climbers, adding a natural framework and a little extra summer height to the garden.
You'll learn the basic techniques needed to create your own sturdy and attractive plant support, which you can take home ready to put straight into your garden.
No previous weaving experience is necessary, making this a lovely opportunity to try something new, enjoy a little creative time and make something useful and beautiful for your garden.
We'll be working in the classroom of the main award winning eco building in the wonderful surroundings of RHS Garden Bridgewater, your workshop booking also includes admission to the gardens, so why not make a day of it? Explore the gardens, enjoy the seasonal planting and perhaps treat yourself to something delicious in the café.
RHS members also receive a discounted workshop rate.
