Gypsy Foraging Basket

Gypsy Foraging Basket by Joe Gregory

Based on a simple traditional foraging or collecting basket, these would have been made in the home or on the move for small collecting of eggs, herbs etc. Quick and relatively easy to make many people living agriculturaly or nomadically would have had the skills to make these or something similar for their everyday needs. I love these little baskets connecting us to a simpler time, seasonal and more connected to the land.

I’ve used English grown Black Maul and Dickie Meadows for this one.
